Good Morning,
My daily driver is a 1989 FJ62 with 250,000 miles. Fires up first thing every morning but on later starts it requires a long crank. It seems to start just as I'm giving up on that crank. Any ideas on what I should be looking for that's causing the slow start?
Thanks so much for your help,
Dan Carr

You need to do a fuel pressure check. I chased this problem on my 88 FJ62 for months. Turned out to be a bad fuel pressure regulator.
Fuel pressure was bleeding down to 0 in less than 15 seconds. Regulator, check valve at the fuel pump, or an injector leaking internally can
all cause rapid fuel pressure bleed down.
