In the driveway today shifting between reverse and drive, there was a momentary screech and the slip indicator flashed. I was thinking it sounded like abs activating the drivers front wheel. I may have been overzealous and shifted too early, but wanted to know if this is a sign of something besides the driver wrong or how I could go about troubleshooting.
Tia!

I have had the same thing occur a couple of times. It has been a sloped surface and wet (yeah, not in Seattle). I think it was just moving from R to D a little quicker than the nannies like.

Come to a complete stop before shifting to drive from reverse.

This. It happened when I started releasing the brake before I had completed the shift.

I've had this happen when my driveway is slippery. I thought it was the anti-rollback feature often found in modern cars. Essentially meant to prevent rolling backward when departing on a steep hill.

Thanks guys. I'll pay closer attention to ensure I am fully stopped prior to changing gears and pay attention on slippery slopes.

This happens on my wife's LX quite often as well. We back out of our drive to a gravel road that slopes downward. You have to make 100% sure the LX is stopped or the "nannies" will raise their alerts. Coming from other vehicles that did not do this, it's taking both of us a bit of time to get used to it (old habits dye hard).

As others have said my LX does this when (even if stopped) shift from R to D on a large enough slope to roll back slightly.
