Slight squealing on brake pedal return. Time for a new boost pump?

My ABS light comes on momentarily at start up for the past few months, no braking issues. Other than a soft pedal but shes been like that since I bought it at 170k miles. Now I'm at 215k.

Noticed a small squeak after pressing the brake a few times when the pump runs the pressure back up. I can hear the pump run behind the firewall, then a squeak comes from down near the pedal and you can kind of feel a slight vibration in the pedal as pressure builds back.

Is the master cylinder rebuild worth the time or should I just swap in a new boost pump assembly?

If it was me I'd try a full brake fluid flush with 6 - 7 bottles of Toyota brake fluid. Then re-evaluate. As you more than likely know, a new MC booster assembly is not cheap.

I tried this 3 months ago and I haven't had any problems since. Fingers crossed
