My huski/black lab mix. smartest most loyal, and most good natured dog i've ever met. will swim for miles, but hides from the rain. big and playful and cheeky as hell. i seriously am considering searching out another of this cross when he passes

and his adopted big sister. she's a purebred malamute, but if i didn't put her pic here she'd be jealous. took her in when her family were going to put her down because they had kids. she's awesome with kids tho, but i'm not complaining. she's a bit of a princess, but loves a good car trip, and is well behaved.

the trouble these two get into tho is funny to watch. he looks up to her and lavishes all sorts of attention on her, but she puts him back in his place, taking ownership of everything in the yard, but the minute he looks like he's under threat she comes over and keeps an eye on things, especially when we play wrestle with him. would hate to see what she'd do if someone she didn't know tried it.

and to repay her kindness, if she ever ignores him, he steals her bones, hides them, pulls the blanket out from under her, and tips over the water bowl while she's drinking.

my brother and i aren't small guys by any stretch, but these two take us for a run.

i never thought i'd be into snow dogs that much, but these two are perfect :D

I like your dogs Bad Religion AU, similar to mine. And the way you write about 'em, it's easy to see you're a good dog owner.

there's another dog out there that looks as silly as the dark lil boy up there? :D

Here's one of the best dog we ever had. His job was to guard the children first and the adults second. He did that with everything he had. He was a highway rescue. Co-worker found him literally running on the highway dodging cars one morning. He was about 3 1/2 months old at the time.

All children in his view were under his protection. Any stranger try and approach and that guy would be visiting the suture room very quickly.

This is our middle son taking a break using Nekita as a pillow. The kids could do anything to the dog and he would not touch them. They could even reach in his food bowl while he was eating and the only thing he would do would to move to the side of the bowl and eat faster.

We all miss him greatly.

They are brothers though you wouldn't know it. Mickey is OCD and Scooter is ADD. What a pair to watch. :D

Technically neither of ours is a "mutt" - Jacob on the left is a purebred East Carolina dog;) and Rudy on the right is a pit.
