i've read a lot of people love the bilstein 5160 shocks and they help with bed bounce, but i also hear a lot of people saying they've received them bad right off the bat and had issues with them leaking within a few months. i can't see spending 1k for kings for a daily driver, but what can i put on that i won't have to dick with that will help with the ride.

rig is a 2012 dc 4x4. stock height

Following, I'm having the same issues (even worse now that it's below freezing 24/7) Maybe OME?

Depending on what you do, even a daily driver, the kings are well worth it. Changes the whole dynamic of the vehicle.

I was actually looking at replacing my stock TRD Bilstein shocks on my 2008 Tundra at some point in the near future since they are ten years old. Currently they have no issues and 150,000 miles, no leaks. I hadn't heard anything about new ones being bad out of the box... that is not very assuring for the price!

I'll be doing some more research for sure on this subject.

I spoke too soon. Now that it’s cold I am getting a sound when stopping from my front shocks. Very curious to see what you go with. I’ll continue to research. I may just roll the dice on another set of bilsteins.

I can't spend $1k on shocks.... Has anyone tried procomp? $339 for the full set.

I have not but i use this brand on my 80 series because they're less expensive than others.. not sure what they offer for the Tundra sequoia but worth checking into...Doetsch Coil-Over and Bypass Shock

So I was on CL locally and picked up a set of shocks and struts, complete with coils for $100. They came off a 2016 1794 edition Tundra. As per my research they should work fine. I'm debating on tossing them on to see. Since they are bolt off, bolt on it will be easy enough. If I had to removed the coils and such I'd definitely order some new ones, but for $100 it's worth a try.

$100 is a great score, and new enough that they should be "like new" to boot. The truck will ride like a Caddie!
