shifting steering column while turning...

ok, so i have recently ran into an issue with my truck and im hoping i can get some help and or advice. the truck is an 87 runner. my issue is that when i turn, wither left or right, my whole steering column with shift to either side. would anyone know how to fix this issue, in one way or another?

You mean the whole thing will move left and right?

I would check for loose bolts or cracks holding the steering column.

Worn input on the steering box.

Cracked Frame Mounts.

Loose/Cracked Column Mount Bolts or Dash Brace at the dash.

Get in and start looking. Post pics.

i would start buy checking the 2 bolts that hold the column under the dash.

it was the bolts holding the column in place, this was the first time I had to deal with this, so now I know what to look for if it happens again, thanks!!!
