Hey so i have installed 5.29's and arb's, or will have by thursday.
Still have 31.5" tires for now. Should top out pretty quick i know, but i only drive 10 miles a week. I have a 96 fzj.
Questions:
Will my transmission shift ok? what controlls the shift points? is it vehichle speed or engine rpm? Also i don't care if the speedo is in correct, i just want the truck to drive/operate in a functionally correct manner/meaning engine and transmission harmony
If it will not shift ok then how do i trick/reprogram the computer?
Thanks Peyton

That is going to be an awful combo, I hope your 10 miles is all city.

Shift points are going to be the least of your concern, when do the 37's go on? Seriously, it is about 20% correction for 5.29's and 35's, I am not sure you can get enough correction for 32's, but I like the Yellow Box a lot. Search on it, correcting speedo makes a big difference in shift points.

Put it this way... Your truck will behave as if it were in Low range all the time.
