Shift Lock InOp

Well, the darn thing worked the other day.
This morn I fired up the beast and with the brake pedal depressed it won't come out of park. The lever release button on the trans shifter won't budge.
I've done a search but must not be using the right words to find an appropriate thread.
The FSM only gives test parameters and no real diagnosis unless it's somewhere else in the manual.
Any leads boys?

Check the wires under the center console. You could also by-pass the lock if your under there as well but that's a safety issue that must be known by all that drive it from there on.

Never mind.
I found the problem.
After some searching, I found a post by Beno who said the stop lite bulbs are part of the system. Lo and behold, not stop lites. Thought it might be the switch but checked the fuse first. Yup, that was it. Must have been the trailer I hooked up this morn. Must look into that.

Mine did the same thing. Short in the trailer poped some fuses. I must have one more to replace. Thanks for the tip.
