Club voted on this trip at the meeting tonight. Meeting will change to the West location, the Western gas station in Woodland Park. Time will be 8:30 assemble/ leave at 9:00 A.M. Looks like we will be taking the Shelf road down toward Cripple Creek, then returning via Phanton Canyon, some in the group are interested in stopping for mexican food (or other) in Canyon city.

Scenery on this trip is always outstanding, we should get some great pictures :bounce:

There's not going to be much wheeling on the trip. You might be able to find a place to flex out your junk, but you can get through the trail with a 2wd truck.

Looking at trail damage it looks like my mazdaspeed6 with summer tires would make it!
Im thinking my tri[ to crested butte will have me worn out for sunday, will have to make the next one as im itching to get out

This area used to be my back yard. If I go I might have to stop and see my parents in Canon. You can probably leave your rig in two high the whole time unless we find some off-shoots to explore. Have to see what other priorities the wife has for me on Saturday first.

There is one offshoot that is OK, near the southern end (Canon City) of Shelf Road. It's somewhere around the climbing areas where the cliffs are. I think its to the north of the climbing areas.

I am not 100% for sure going yet. I have to to work friday night and they thought I might be done by 11. I haven't looked at the job but when they say nothing to it you will be done early that usually means 1 or 2 in the morning. So I will either be there or I will be sleeping.

All right Luke, you got me on this one!:o I'm not going to make it.:bang: As usual, something came up. I already got hot dogs and brats, so I am thinking I may go up Rampart or something on Sunday.

I won't say I told you so, because I know how things can be. Life always gets in the way. Hope you get out Sunday, have fun!

Good Pictures! Man, the wife and I had a ton of fun today! The weather was just perfect, we had a good run, no problems, ate lunch at Old Mission mexican restaurant in Canyon city on the patio....What more could you ask for? I would do it again tomorrow. Thank to everyone for showing up and having a good time with us. See ya next time.
