I've had a couple friends (one is a detailing nerd) recommend leatherique and it seems to get rave reviews online despite the price.. you can look up before-after videos on youtube and it's pretty dramatic. I haven't used my kit yet, for the record.
Also it is confirmed to work on the vinyl-coated leather in most cars now. Once a year is good.. I think mr detail nerd does his twice.
It helps to use the stuff on a hot day where the sun baking on a closed car helps it get deep into the leather, for the record.
