No ideas, but why not just drive the cruiser? Gas has got to be cheaper than a used car and insurance, right?
I say find a used Accord or Camry with over 100K on the odometer. People think that they will wear out at 100K like the typical "American" cars. THe secret is they are good for another 150K at least and overall will be cheaper to drive, especially if they have a standard transmission.

I've had this same look at costs of vehicle ownership. I have five registrations to keep up, four vehicles to change oil in, buy tires for, buy parts for, and keep up general maintainance on... it's pretty daunting. The cherokee has been giving me a lot of problems this year.
I'm thinking about getting rid of something. But... i need the truck to have a truck, i need the cherokee for my wife's commute, i need the cruiser because, well... i'm not selling the cruiser -- and i need a rig to go through the hardcore stuff to satisfy my soul. What's a guy to do???
At least i have a work vehicle to tote me to work when everything else is broken =)

Any suggestions on a shipper to take parts from Colorado to New England area? Or know anyone making a trip up this way or near?
