Self Lowering Fridge Slide Availability in US?

I'm interested in one of these. Platinum 4x4 | Home. I'm planning on adding a drawer system to my 100 series which will locate the fridge way to high up to access easily. I can't find a distributor or similar product in the US. Has anyone seen one.

Check with Christo at Slee...I think he might carry something like that.

:doh:I was just there yesterday too. I was on a mission so didn't have time to look around much. I see them now. thanks. And to anyone else interested, here's the link.

I don't have one put played around with the one that Christo had in his Cruiser at last years Cruise Moab. Worked nice and I thought it was really easy to move. My 4'10 wife had no problems lifting a fridge with it either and really liked it.

Thanks Tembo

So other that the fact that it's built here, what distinguises your product from other offerings?

I like the cutting board personally.

I don’t want to bash the other slide; it is a good product, although I do feel the LoadSpotter slide is more robust in general. The LoadSpotter uses top rated Accuride locking slide tracks that the military and most fire departments use in their trucks. The tracks lock in and out.

If something does go wrong with my slide, you don’t have to call Australia to get parts.

The LoadSpotter slide will fit a greater variety of fridges, including the 42 ltr Edgestar. Of course, it has a cutting board that is indispensable when loading or unloading the fridge or handy for making a sandwich on the trail!

Talk to Paul May at Equipt, he has tested the Platinum slide and is familiar with the the LoadSpotter. He can give you an unbiased opinion.

Thanks for the reply. I look forward to taking a closer look at both products!

I just read the article yesternight in 4WD Toyota Owner, very nice setup.

Is that article available online? I don't get 4WD Toyota Owner.....yet.

I got a chance to play around with Paul May's slide during CM and talk with him at length about both products. I really like the ease of use and functionality of both. The platunum appears to have fewer steps to drop the slide but the Loadspotter looks more durable. I love the cutting board option on the Loadspotter! I'd like to see the Loadspotter in person but I'm guessing you will be seeing photos up before to long of my installed product. ;)

Good to hear you got to talk to to Paul at Equipt about the slides. He is a straight shooter and will tell you what he likes and dislikes about a product.

Click this link if you want to read the article about the LoadSpotter slide in the 4WD Toyota Owners Magazine.

And for those who can't wait to see jonharis's future install pictures ... see below a picture from our recent Anza Borrego trip in SoCal.

Well I just ordered my Loadspotter Levitating slide from Jerry at Tembo Tusk. His outstanding customer service and responses to this thread and my e-mails were what sold me. I haven't even seen the product yet but I feel that its the best option. I really like the cutting board and know that the USA customer service is going to make it worth it. I'll be getting it installed in 2-3 weeks and will post a new thread with detailed photos.

Thanks Jerry!
