I removed this when putting in an Awl-TEQ one. No rot, but some surface rust and bumps and bruises. Pretty much what you'd expect from one of these after all these years. I also have the 3 tailgate hinge "blocks" that serve as nuts. They're in good shape too, 1 thread is partially damaged from a rusted bolt being drilled out. Could be used to replace a really nasty one. Could be useless?

A little off topic but does Awl-TEQ still make these for the bigger FJ40 style tail lights?

I'm not sure if he's still doing them. I was fortunate enough to get on during one of his batches probably 4+ years ago.
