I swear I searched for this but didn’t turn up anything.

A lot of LX’s show significant driver seat wear and tear. What are the options to address this so it looks nice for the wife’s daily.

I’d like to preserve the ventilated seats.

Buy new?

There are places to get replacement bottoms that are supposedly made to OEM specs (with ventilation holes). I know eBay has some. Will be much cheaper than new from Lexus.

1 - new seat cushion is about $250 from Lexus
2 - new seat leather from Lexus is about $500. An upholstery shop can make a new leather bottom for probably half that, and it should be a close match in color. The perforation is easy for them.

I did the latter, and while it looks pretty good, it's just nowhere near the quality of the Lexus. I had to replace the passenger seat bottom which is a single unit (you cannot replace just foam) from Lexus, and it's obviously higher quality (fit, leather, stitch). If I had to do it all over again, I'd buy once cry once and get the Lexus leather.

Don't bother replacing the leather without replacing the foam, otherwise you'll get creasing/cracking where the foam is decayed.

Broaden your search to other gen LCs. Use the term “leather restoration ih8mud” on google and you’ll get a days worth of reading and ideas.
