search is returning no results

Hey Woody-

FYI- searching in a forum returns 0 results. You brought the site back online in the last 30 minutes, so perhaps you are still working on this.

to recreate:
go to the 40 section (or any section)
click on search this forum
enter clutch and then go. no results

I see that...

We locked down a few things last night as a quick fix, it appears those effect all things related to search (which includes a couple of the mobile app features as well)

Temporarily, the Google Custom Search bar will suffice (it searches 'MUD/RC specific only), but we'll work this morning to determine the cause from last night and get features working.

Thanks Brian, will check it out. Also, I am not getting emails about Pms or thread notifications. For example. I didn't get one this morning when you replied to in post 2.

Are you having a problem again? Everytime I tried any search I get this message "The IH8MUD Forum database has encountered a problem." I get this message on both on my computer and phone.

just checked and working...it was corrected shortly after your post

Simply, when the server gets reset, Search needs to be restarted...which (obviously) means I need to remind the sysadmin to do it every time...
