I love mini's. I've had 3 minitrucks and daily drive a 4runner. I have nothing against them. They make very capable offroaders. I'd gladly trade the drivetrain from my 4runner for my 2F and 4 speed. I actually would like to do a similar swap. However, the IFS just isn't a good match for 35" plus tires with a front locker on trails that are difficult enough to need 35's and lockers in both ends. I wouldn't put 35's on a locked up IFS front end of a 120 series or 100 series either. The IFS is great in stock form. It's just not well suited to hardcore offroading.
 
This is a funny thread. I guess you shouldn't expect much in the way of positive feedback on mini's when you ask a Cruiser forum. Oh well - we'll just keep driving our crappy trucks for 300k miles and pretend like they break all the time.....:rolleyes:
