scheduled maintenence

I cant find my manual, and I have some free time this week. What is the scheduled maint. for the 5K mark? And how do i get rid of the "maint" warning light?

Usually the flashing maint light means you need to change the oil and of course the air filter needs to be changed every 5-10k miles.

My maintainance book that came with the owners manual says to change the oil, rotate the tires, check the air filter and replace if necessary, visually inspect the breaking system, and when your all done hold down the tripomitor button while turning the ignition on (but don't start it), and keep holding until the tripomotor is finished doing a little countdown. Then turn it off and you should be done.

It also has recommendations for extreme usage conditions that basically just say to visually check a bunch of things and re-torque a few bolts in the drive train. It’s not much more specific then that.
