Friends, Sam is pressed for time to get his 40 smogged. His rear main seal is hemorrhaging oil. It's $$$ to have a shop fix it. Any chance we can get a couple of good wrenchers to his place this weekend or next and do the repair? Sam has tools galore. He just needs hands to help him get that seal replaced. He lives in Valley Center and has a fridge full of beer. A Saturday or Sunday would work. Anyone up for the task? 2 to 3 of us should be able to knock it out in a day.

I would love to help Sam (Although calling me a "good wrencher" is a stretch!). This weekend might be tight, but I could looking to next weekend. Anyone else planning on helping?

Just throw out some dates that you think would work and we can go from there.

I am out this week but might be able to assist next weekend.

Maybe Sunday, May 10th?

That's mother's day.... we will be in a bad way.

Sam is sending his 40 to Brian's Auto in Esco to take a look at it. It's losing a lot of oil just sitting there.

I usually available most days... When did you want to start?

Sam sent his 40 to Brian's Auto yesterday so he won't need our help.

Glad to hear Sam got a good solution for his 40...
Brian's Automotive is a great place to get work done! They used to be my go to shop for everything that was beyond my shade tree mechanic capabilities or back when I was too busy working to play with cars... But he's usually too busy for things like this which is why I ended up elsewhere for my head gasket and at Alternative Automotive for my engine rebuild. Before Brian bought the place it used to be called Mark's Automotive and was the place in north county to get Land Cruiser work done in the 90's and where all my FJ62 work got done.
