hey all,
My old 4runner rusted out in all 4 wheel wells, directly under the chrome wheel opening trim pieces. I am not a fan of chrome, it is for cadillacs in my opinion. Anyways I decided to rip that junk off. Amazed at home much road dirt was built up in those things. Lucky enough I dident have any rust yet, but all those chrome pieces are traps for moisture holding substances.
I also like the look alot more without the chrome crap.
here is the evidence
I also see lots of yotas with stuff building up in the "dog legs", atleast I think thats the proper slang term. Every time I go to the car wash I open my front doors and stick the high pressure water in there and blow that stuff out.
Anyone got any other rust prevention tips, espically for us members who live in the rust belt.
