While rust never sleeps it does nap depending on the environment. First picture is from twenty years ago. That was ten years after I bought it with that rust. Never had one rust under my ownership. Second one was four years ago when it finally got space in a garage.
Never had an issue with parts sitting outside as long as they were not on dirt.
Five years ago decided parts were getting worth putting in a garage
