rust help needed!

here is what i discovered after i removed the carpet in my 88 4runner. what options do i have to fix this?? i can not weld and i don't have anyone around that i know, that would be willing to help me by welding it up. fiberglassing it wont be strong enough i don't think. or would it?
any help is appreciated. happy new year!

personaly i would cut out the cancer and weld some pannels in but if you cant get anyone to help you weld it you could always cut out the rot and pop rivet some metal in and then fiberglass over it

Ouch. What does the rest of the truck look like?

Get some sheet metal, pound it out to fit your floor. Go to Home Depot and get some Vulkem (good calk). While you're there pick up a pop rivit gun and a drill bit to match.

Calk the crap out of the floor, drill some holes for the sheet metal, pop down some rivits, put the carpet back over it and enjoy.

Should be able to do it all for about $25.

Then in the spring do it the right way, if the truck is worth it.

someone on another board told me it could be a leaking windshield. i hope it aint no leaking windshield. my clutch master cylinder leaked brake fluid down into the cab and ate the paint off of the clutch pedal and and that area of the floor board. i had fix that hole once with fiberglass filler. and that lasted me till i found the hole yesterday. i live in kingsport, tn. i got me a piece of 16 ga sheet metal will that work???

I would get some nice rubber gloves and a respirator, and put some Naval Jelly on the floor board and wire wheel that rust off. I would get some Rustoleum Black underbody paint and take care of that and then follow the instructions from the other guys.

I had floor cancer like that in my Plymouth Trailduster, and I took a dremel with a cutoff wheel and used the Bondo aluminum sheets and slapped some bondo on that and sanded it down.
