I have a rust free California born 87 FJ60 that I bought as a parts rig. I'm doing a manual swap on my FJ62 so ALL the 4spd stuff is gone including flywheel, bellhousing, tranny/T-case, driveshafts, pedals etc....if it had to do with the 4sp, it's gone. What's left is a great base for either a diesel or V8 swap or someone who has a rusty BJ/HJ 60 who needs a new body & frame. Here's the good/bad rundown:
GOOD:
Very straight rust free body (has a few minor dings, see pics)
Rust free straight frame
Original AC in tact
Glass is all good
Headliner and door panels are decent (but not perfect)
BAD:
2F is toast (Runs but has burnt valves)
Paint is faded
Dash is cracked
Carpet and seats are dog-ass disgusting
Rear hatch won’t open (probably just needs adjusting)
The truck is in Stockton CA at Orange45’s shop (Georg Ester)…he has agreed to show it for me if anyone is interested. Georg also has the CA title. This thing needs to be picked up in the next 2 weeks, as he has no room for it. Bring your trailer and $750 and she’s all yours
