Greetings all. I have a 2006 GX470 that I’ve been trying to “modernize” with little touches on my own. My latest venture is replacing the old incandescent bulbs with LED. Everything was going fine until the running board lights. I got the driver’s side front one swapped out but the one in the rear is more difficult, and the bottom line is that two replacement bulbs fell out of the fixture and are now laying in the bottom of the light. Does anyone have any idea of an easy way to access that socket? The only way I can see is to cut off part of the back of the running board to have a straight shot at the fixture.

Maybe a pia, but....uninstall the whole running boards, flip it over and shake it until they fall out? Lol. I have no other ideas. But they aren't that hard to remove tbh

Yeah, thought of that but was trying to avoid that. Actually thinking of replacing them with some nerf bars and adding some kind of rock lighting using the existing wiring.

Rock sliders and basic cheap LED's rock lights tied into the OEM wiring is what I did. They've been on there now for about 5 years and have held up great.
