Hey guys, I have an LN130 that I'm beefing up the power on, but I spend most of my time trudging through feet upon feet of snow and sand, but not much hardcore rock crawling or trailing. (Livin' in Japan) I'm getting the full 2" body lift kit with brackets from 4Crawler (read too many horror stories about going more than 2"), and looking at a few 2" suspension lifts. I don't need a ton of flex or decent departure angle, footprint and surface area are more important to me. I have a line on a full set of Yokohama Geolander M/T 35s for $175, so, yeah, think I could fit them with a little pinch weld fab on the front?

Ah, crap, I forgot to mention, with the front IFS, I'll be running an Aussie locker 7.5" diff. From what I understand the OEM birfs are more durable in the long run, whereas some Longfields or Dirty 30 spline birfs are meant solely for hard crawling, what with more flex and thicker construction. Also, the best deal I've found for a 2" suspension is on an OME for a '93 4Runner. Not a lot of info on whether or not it will fit the RHD Hilux Surf though.

That OME kit should work just fine, there's nothing to do with the steering but the steering stabilizer if you opt for it, but I'm guessing it just goes on reversed and would work as expected. I was going to suggest this kit after reading your first post. I ran this on my old 4Runner (RIP) and it was great. I could have easily cleared 35's with a bit of metal tweaking, and I did not have a body lift. Instead I just ran 33's, but I'm certain with a body lift and the 2.5" OME lift you'd have no issues clearing 35's.
