Thanks everybody. I feel it finally looks correct. It's sail blue rustoleum. Pretty close to the oem blue.

Man that looks great! Thanks again for the door latch!

Worked on the 55 a bunch lately. Replaced the clutch master and slave. Had some new exhaust installed too. It was in the stock location under the drivers side rocker, I had it moved in board of the frame rails. It's 2 1/4'' with a Flowmaster. Sounds good, pretty quiet but still has alittle rumble.:grinpimp:
All this was in prep for a road trip. I headed up north to meet some friends and hit the dirt. Here's some pix.

Took the 55 to a local car show. It was a benefit for people affected by the Wallow Fire, the states largest forest fire to date. I won the 4x4 mall crawler class.:grinpimp:

I would like to paint the letters on the back of my tailgate like many of you have here (see post 77). Is there any secret to this? Specifically....how do you do it and make it look good. I am afraid mine will look like my 4 year old son did it!

It's easy as pie. Just need some masking tape, a razor, some patience, and a steady hand.

Do it as a vinyl sticker. Find somebody with a die cutter and find the correct font. Then slap it on.

Here's a few pix of the recent upgrades. I replaced the clutch master and slave, swapped on some front mini discs and an fj80 master, built a new OEMish battery tray.........

Nice color. What is the brand, color and type of paint?

Rattle can Rustoleum sail blue.

I took the Piggie for a 200 mile road trip yesterday. We hit a couple trails in Sedona. It was really toasty with no ac. Still had a good time though.

Took the 55 on another trip up north. We headed to Blue Ridge Resevoir, about 260 mile round trip. No wheeling. Just some mtn biking and canoe action.

The first night was great with an overnight low around 50. Much better than Phoenix this time of year.

Bought a vintage cooler off CL. Painted it to match. It's all about the style.:grinpimp:
