I know I would very much enjoy something like this. As you are keenly aware in your other roles, history is important
Same. I remember an elderly fellow who would give historical talks at these events some years ago. I had the pleasure of talking him up once and him giving me a one-on-one tour/talk about the area...

Tony. On behalf of the Wagon Run. I am asking if you will be available for a Trail Talk with Tony. Historical walking tour on Friday . 🤷‍♂️. I will talk to Mark and Maria On Monday or Tue of that week and see if they would like to give some group tours .

Looks like registrations are starting to pile up. Looking forward to a great week on the mountain. Hope evreyone is on track for a successful ride, see you at Loon, or Tahoe side depending on how large our group gets and if people are wanting to see the trail or get to camp. I could get some cornhole equip to the springs.

3 more registrations, first time in awhile rig is ready to load, only bolt check & grease. Now is the time to do those quick check/maint items that often get overlooked. Grease D-lines, steering, & knuckles, check/inventory spare parts, have a look thru all the nooks & crannies of your truck so you know what is on board in case you need it as opposed to looking for something that has been there for years.
Solid Axle run leaves Loon Lake on Wed morning, we will meet up at the Kiosk at Loon, introductions, safety checks , coffee, questions & answer, then we go springs , straight thru, the goal is to get to Springs, set up camp, & have time to go for a swim before dinner. I like to stop and point out recognized locations on the trail, photo ops, fully enjoy the mountain as it is an epic journey every time.

How we looking on the Karaoke Machine ? Do we need to get a few people to chip in and get one ?

I'm down to pitch in. If it needs a ride in from Loon, I can help with that too. No kids or dog this year
I certainly have no room I know absolutely nothing about them but there are a couple on marketplace close by so i can pick one up i guess .

What's a pace of this group? A better question is, if the group leaves at 7:30am what is the ETA to the springs?

My ETA is Noon, get in, no reverse. I pee alot and I do stop to point out specific/named/famous points along trail, lunch is a group decision and I recommend packing a samich or something you can eat along they way, food & water are often overlooked during the first anxious hrs on the trail in the am so I remind people to eat & drink as the day goes, DON"T WAIT UNTIL WE STOP, that leads to dehydration & hangry people.

You run into the springs in 4.5 hours with a group 😳

We caught you so many times last year I lost track . Lol. It was painful 😃

No, you caught Mike from Texas, No bones about it this year, The Solid Axle Run is NOT the soft glove express & Yes, the previous year with 2 loaded 80's, never run trail before, 5 hrs to Springs.
