My vote was for the 13th weekend.
The parts of the trail that we did on the Wentworth trip were AWESOME! The trails were in GREAT shape IMO.

Should be fun....
I have some work to do that I hope to get done before then.

X2. on both counts.

I'm sure we could find an open seat.........

I appreciate the offer, but I will be either heading out or coming back from a week in Northeastern Nevada (Jarbidge area). ;)

It's looking like we're going the weekend of the 13th. I'll close out the polling Friday and post the date.

I think we need to have a power steering party at Mike's.:wrench::cheers:

Your rig would SPANK that trail. Rubicon is SOOOO MUCH nicer than the desert...You know that you want to!

JUST DO IT!!!!

Embrace the NIMBLE WHALE!

Much work was accomplished this weekend, all I have left to do on the axles is install the locking hubs and dick around with the spring pack a little.

Then it's just a little fab work left on the anti wrap bar and I should be good to go.

Almost a YEAR later!:rolleyes::flipoff2:

There will be no embracing when it comes to the 80 on Rubicon. Not my idea of fun.

That is what Drippy is for (when I get it built up, should be this winter).

The little run Chicago and I did with Alvaro & co. would be fun for you. I don't think there was anything tougher than Deer Valley between Wentworth Springs and Loon Lake.

And as long as your that far in you could give Walker Hill a shot.

After that it would just snowball.

The "snowball" is what I'm afraid of...

Glad to hear you are getting the 40 back together. Did you ever decide on what tires you were going to put on it? Or are you going to get one more season out of the Swampers?

I would love to go back to rubicon. I went last year for the 1st time in my friend's FJ40. Being a long legged individual, my left leg was wrapped around his transfercase shifter for the duration of the trip. I think i still have a indentation there. Was a lot of fun though, even though he, in my estimation, tried to scare the hell outta me. I think it would be 'fun' to take an 80 on there. I think the coils would make life so much nicer than leafs, but what do i know, im just a 1 timer passenger at that. Are you guys going with the rubithon group or just as a club group going to have fun? I think once my truck is closer to being finished, i would like to try this trail out once again, this time as a driver. I dont have a lot of experience at it, but it would be fun.

home sick today with the normal flu bug.

We're just doing a club run, no connection to Rubithon.

Are you on the 80'scool cruiser mail list? A couple of us did a "Mini" Rubicon trip with them two weeks ago. It's a nice intro for wagon guys, a short run with excellent spotters that gives you an idea of the "flavor" of the trail without committing to run the whole thing.

X2 what Rusty Said.
Great group and they make some FOOD!
That Wentworth loop was just awesome!
