On August 18 the Rubicon Trail, one of America's most famed of-road trails, will receive a well deserved grant to help preserve the off-road riding areas for year's to come. Please find below a media alert for this event and feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

The Rubicon Trail will be honored by BFGoodrich Tires, in conjunction with Tread Lightly!® and United Four Wheel Drive Associations (UFWDA), as a part of its 2007 Outstanding Trails program.* Friends of the Rubicon (FOTR) and the Rubicon Trail Foundation (RTF) will receive a grant to continue conservation efforts and preserve scenic trails for one of California’s wildest off-road trails.* Off-road enthusiasts and the organizations will also gather to do a voluntary trail clean up.

BTW is the Rubicon Trail Campground Rubicon Springs? Kinda tough for the average media type to make it in there with his camera van.

Oh, they'd probably helicopter themselves in … of course if any part of the region were on fire, every assclown in the country with a video camera would be there
