Not sure if this is best here or in trailer tech...nonetheless, I'll give it a try here.

I have a trailer mounted ARB roof top tent. The RTT is mounted directly to the lid of the trailer with no lift. I would like to add an annex but do not have the height required. Has anyone trimmed their annex to fit a RTT that is not mounted on the top of a vehicle. Just guessing, but I have about 4 ft. between the bottom of the RTT and the ground.

My need for an annex is mainly to store bags out of the weather and changing area, and will be looking for one I can possibly modify with a floor or that I can add a floor.

Looking for advise on doing this if it has already been done; what works well and doesn't work well in making the modification? Having an ARB, is it best to start with an ARB annex or is another option available that works with ARB RTT?

I would find a tarp shop (or local equivalent) in the area. They do all kinds of jobs and are more than capable of just making it to your dimensions.

Might also try a marine upholstery shop that has industrial sewing machines and the skills to meet your needs.

My CVT annex has large Velcro strips on the inside which is to shorten the annex by a few feet for use on trailers. Don't know if ARB has the same strips. But sewing them on would be better than cutting the annex itself.

Check and upholstery shop to do it. You can buy the slip in cloth wrapped plastic pieces and have them make any length you need.
