Thanks Joe for sharing your story. I've been wondering if maybe my story is similar. Toyota told me they checked the speed sensors and they gave me a worksheet with graphs that indicated the sensors were ok. But, it's possible there's an intermittent problem with a sensor or like you mentioned, a flush and new filter could make the difference. At least I'm hoping so. I'll keep working on this and when I finally figure it out, I'll post my results. Thank you and I'm sure I need some luck!!!!!

Update from 08-22-2019 . A few months back I bought a 2008 LC and I was experiencing transmission problems. The transmission shop ended up changing solenoids C and D and all seemed to work fine. Unfortunately, a large amount of coolant was seen on the transmission housing and so a head gasket problem was suspected. Coming out of the shop today with new intake gasket and new parts instead of a head gasket change and hopefully all is ok. I'll be putting on the Hewitt secondary air pump bypass and hopefully she'll be road worthy. Thanks to those that helped with suggestions to get me back on the road!!!
