Well- before today I wasn't planning on coming to this years Roundup- but since the news that it'll no longer be at Katemcy- I'm trying to figure a way to get there and see y'all.

What suggestion do you have?

Where does one fly into that makes the most sense?
I'm searching the Interweb for cheap flights from Chicago to DFW/Austin/SA.
Rental cars too.

It might be too much to figure out this late in the week- but I'm trying.

You're on the right track sir.

My guess would be Southwest from Midway to Love Field.

I fly American from DFW to O'hare quite a bit ... they got real regular non-stop flights ... but I ain't pickin' up the bill. :grinpimp:

Try Dollar rent a car... Can usually get a pretty good deal for about $100 for the whole weekend....

They might even have some PT Cruisers that will do 90 in reverse and really cool dounuts!

Later,

I don't think I'm gonna be able to co-ordinate a trip at this late date. My wife is willing to have the boys for a couple of days, but she'll just be getting back from a conference on Thursday night. I'd wave at her in the airport, fly to Dallas, rent a car, get out to Katemcy in the wee hours of the morning. Have a blast, eat some good BBQ, not win anything at the raffle, get up early Sunday, fly back to Chicago, then have to be at work on Monday morning.

I'll try to meet up with some of you guys that I e-know at another event with better planning.

the closest int'l airport would be San antonio but I'm not sure if you could fly there non-stop. it is about an hour and a half from SA to Katemcy.
