This is the 1 gallon model.

On first impression, this container feels incredibly strong with very thick walls.

Unlike the blue 5 gallon Scepter container I found at Bass Pro Shop, which I was able to easily crush with my thumbs... I was able to stand on the RotopaX without any damage.

It comes with a yellow "fuel spout" which is designed to be stored inside the container when not in use.

The cap itself is made by Scepter.

It also comes with piece of black plastic that sits around the neck. It serves a "lock" to prevent the cap from working itself loose.
I found the cap works well by itself so I decided to remove the lock ring.

It's a great product and it doesn't leak a drop. I highly recommend it.

Nice review.

I saw some of these on the back of a Heep. The guy had one of the ones pictured and two, 2 gallon fuel versions.

The guy said that Rotopax makes a 3 gallon fuel version. I like the opening in the center. It's there so you can use a lock that Rotopax sells to secure them from thieves!

Well, I guess most "truck" gas cans are 5 gallons....not that much bigger. But if I were to buy 2 Rotopax 4 gallon cans, I'd be out $200.....just don't know how many people could justify that expense. Multiply that out by the number of cans I see several guys carry on expedition trips (like ACT 2010) and you'd have some SERIOUS coin wrapped up in just gas cans.

So, I guess it isn't as much about size as it is bang for the buck.....
