gringo, I still have a stock of the old small good toyota filters. I had no rattle with M1 just this thick gooey rotella stuff

tyler. iirc they will order it in for me at a crazy price but won't sell it to me unless they change the oil. I prefer to change my own fluids. Kind of helps rationalize the $70 material costs...

Now I'm curious .. I'll check my bill when I go down to the garage. This bill was in the neighborhood of $130 but I had all sorts of kindnesses bestowed upon my I'll look for a unit price for you .. or at least the cost on the total mobil1.

I ran the Rotella T syn 5W40 with a pure one large filter for 6000 mi. had no consumption, but a chain rattle. Switched to Mobil 1 15W50 and a small Toyota filter, no rattle and have consumed about 1/2 a quart in 5000 mi.

My brothers both run Rotella T syn 5W40 with small filters and no rattle.
