ANother beneift I haven't seen mentioned is improved road/highway manners wit the longer wheelbase. Makes a big difference.

Most springs actually yield an increase closer to 4 inches than 3.5 when they are reversed.

I've done a bunch of reverseals. All of the FJ40 SOAs I have done are done this way. DOne it on a couple of SUA rigs too. Most of the guys that I run with who drive '40s have it done. I've run it myself on three or four '40s. I've got '55 springs under my current leaf sprung '40 though.

No one has had a problem with spring wrap. Including guys with hot sixes and with V8s who have heavy right feet.

I had ccustom rear springs made with a lot of rear offset.

When I did it it made a HUGE difference to hill clombing ability - was able to get up a lot of hills I couldn't previously.

Also have wrap issues - had to go to 3 full length leaves to stop the springs bending.
