Roof top tent on factory roof rack

I’m tired if searching.
For s 2014 lc200 Can the stock roof rack carry and support a rooftop tent?
I’m looking at the smittybilt 2883 over lander XL
Don’t want to buy a $1000 roof rack if I don’t have to
Two adults and two 9 year olds.

Weight limit is 154lbs while moving. Static, much more, but don't know the exact number. Perhaps 450lbs?

There are a few threads on here about this. I think the conventional wisdom is no, because the cross bars are too flexible. I bit the bullet and installed a FrontRunner roof rack earlier this year.

Or can one upgrade the cross bars or add more stock ones to support more weight?

I put mine on some Thule bars on the stock rack without a problem, although I eventually upgraded the rack to hold more stuff and for aesthetics.

One of the problems with the factory bars or bars that are parallel with the factory rack is reaching under to get to the fasteners. You need to be creative with how you reach or by finding a way to attach the bars to the RTT first, then attach the whole thing to the roof rack.
