So I was sweeping snow off the roof of my LX this morning and noticed what looked like a “cap” or trim piece might be missing. There seems to be a point where things could be attached, etc on the roof in the forward part of the track before the carrier rails attach. Is this supposed to be covered with something? If yes, they are missing on both sides. The truck is 2 years new to me (2011) so I don’t know what it came with when new. I also found the attached picture and circled the area I am talking about and it leads me to believe something is missing.
Can anyone confirm something is supposed to be there? Is there a name or part number people are aware of? I’m in a heavily salted part of the country and want to cover anything exposed to avoid rust.
Thanks!

Yes, there is a rubber piece at the front of the circle, followed by a black plastic block/clip, followed by another piece of rubber trim. I had to order some myself, but forget the part numbers.

I'll add the parts are quite pricey for what they are. I'd recommend a lite coating of weatherstrip adhesive to avoid then disappearing at car washes, etc.
