That's what all my rims look like. My solution: ignore it. It's just on the surface.

Or for about the same price you can have Champion Wheel convert them to beadlock rims. :smokin:

Really, you can beadlock alloy rims? Is the beadlock plate aluminium, too?

As far as refinishing, I had a company called "Nu*Brite" refinish the aluminum wheels on my Mustang, and they were showroom condition when finished. It was about $40 per wheel. I'm not sure if Nu*Brite is a chain or not. A local bodyshop guy sent me to them. Maybe there's something similar where you live.

Ouch! There are wheel repair orginizations. Be prepared to drop about $150. Probably better off seeking out a used rim in the for sale section.

There is a company way north of me about 2 1/2 hrs. They charge $80 a wheel to powder coat. The company is call TRG Coating. I'm going to look for an easier option.

Same here. I used my dremel to buff em up and a squirt of clear coat. I still use that rim as a spare. As of right now I have no idea if it helped.

Karl

I was wondring if it could be repaired with a dremel. Was the clear coat you applied bought from as auto store?
