I have family in, so not sure how things are going to play out. Would like to say I would be down for Saturday, but would definitely be in for Sunday. Have to try out the new 37's. Have not even had a chance to get them in the dirt yet. Oh yeah......Luke is in the 37 and up club now!

I have to go to Denver on Saturday. Oh ya the 60 is still apart in the garage. I am waiting for the 30 spine set to get here.

Happy New Year!

Lol, yeah, I have always heard them called trar's too. Had a good friend of the family that had a 60's Cadillac on a 4x4 truck frame. Had something like 38's on it. It was pretty cool to drive through the woods in a caddy.

J.t. and I went out playing in the snow today. Went out to Devil's Kitchen trail, F.S. rd 303, 302, and 302A. The snow was not as deep as I would have liked at the start of the trail, but it got deeper........much deeper in places.

There were many areas where we were the first to break snow except for someone on cross country skis. The snow was the type that is made up of nothing but ice crystals and almost covers your tracks as you drive through it, very bad for traction. We started off without the chains.......but JT quickly found a washed out creek crossing, downhill sort of path that had us both putting chains on the rear tires.

J.T. got stuck first, and when I tried to winch him out, the winch was dragging my 4runner. I tried to back out only to find that I couldn't move either, So on went the rear chains. After winching and getting ourselves unstuck we continued on to the end of the trail, which had a spectacular view of a mountain valley and a lot of Colorado Springs. On the way back out, we took an unbroken trail that turned out to be over a foot deep in places. Got some great pictures and video while we were playing on that trail.

Got back to Rampart, pretty close to the reservoir, and took some trails looking for the elusive spot where I rolled over in '08. I have never been able to find that spot again. J.T. figured there was a reason for that, and I think he might right on. So we just stopped to have a fire and some good conversation. Good times!
