I was up on our adopted trail (whatever you may call it) ;)

and Its got some major washout issues we need to address..

We came upon a group of XJ's, one had Flopped onto his front A- pillar. (This is on the section of the trail that is the short cut back to the Eagle rock Trail Feild)

Their is 2 washouts that are rather deep, and will only get worse without some intervention..

I think a good group of people with shovels could help divert the water off the trail in a few hours..

Also, I would be Game for Putting an Actual Sign at the Trailhead with the Correct Name (Spelling??) and our Club Name.. if its cool with the FS of course!

It's going to have to be soon--before the ground gets frozen--if we're gonna use shovels. I might be able to help out this weekend for a little while.

Should we try and topple some dead trees and cover them with dirt to keep the washouts filled in? Maybe they should be left deep to keep it challenging? :hhmm:

I know they were pretty deep last time I was there, and that was earlier in the summer.

my main goal was to help it from getting worse, its challenging right now, but that guy who flopped took the absolute worst line possible.

i did not go any higher to the road split, but we should check out that section too!

i would say 33" tires and a locker would be a good recommendation on that trail, its gotten "funner" over the recent years.

I have to replace my broken leaf spring before I can wheel. I hope to have the 60 apart and waiting for the parts on Saturday. I have to go to a birthday part on Sunday afternoon so if all goes well I could be ready Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning.

What trail is this anyway? I've got a wheel bearing to deal with and rear locker isn't working. But if I get that worked out, I might be able to help on Sunday.

It's just past the turn in for eagle rock, about a mile or two up, on gold camp road. Also connects to eagle rock.

As for what to put on the sign-- I have seen and heard the trail called Saran wrap more often than not, and trail damage.com has it listed as saran wrap......I know that's not what it started out as, but I think that is the common term now.

its our trail i say we name it "Colorado Land Cruiser's Renoylds wrap, not saran wrap trail"

lol, jk, i don't care what we call it. Sunday?? When and where? you guys rolling in the back way?

Trevor

Reynolds Wrap is the correct spelling. It was named after Tim Reynolds, past member of CLC. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

Reynold's Wrap...

Vic, you are right. Rob Grimes took Tim Reynolds up there, and made his eyes get really, really big, or so the story goes...

I vote for the name to be "Reynolds Wrap", in memory of the story.

Picking up Chuck's springs this afternoon from Safari Ltd - Hugh said the'd be ready. Then I'll be on my way over to CS tomorrow.
