Is the spring perch stock configuration 90 degrees from the 3rd member mounting surface as it is with the 40 series? What is factory caster angle? These are 1988 70 series housings.

Thx,

Pete

Can't help with factory angles but I reckon you should weld in caster angles dependant upon tyre size & lift. The bigger the tyre you want more positive caster

Factory I think is 1.5+ or something like that? but for say a 35" tyre you want 5-6+ degrees . The bigger tyre just wants to wander more on the road
Similar with pinion angle , set it up with the lift in mind although if your running factory single UJ's you want to keep the transfercase output flange and the pinion flange within 3 degrees of each other to avoid vibrations

Thanks,

Factory for the 40 series was 1 degree. However with the addition of power steering I've been advised to go with about 3* or so. Just wondering what stock is so as to know how it will relate to the angle of the pinion.
