Blundering around trying to find out info...could not find any...anyway my book is not worth a darn.

I am in the middle of putting a electric fuel pump on my 84 and this OEM fuel pump as a third line. Yes I know it has the inbound, outbound(engine side) and then the one in question is what my book is calling the vapor return?

So I need to figure out where I need to loop this line in with and in doing this when I need to consider future install of the Webber carb. Could steer me in the right direction?

it should go to your charcoal or vapor canister under your hood. should not have anything to do with the fuel pump. off your canister you should have a line going to a vacuum port on either your intake or carb.

assuming the book is wrong or I am missreading this but they are calling this one port on this fuel pump " vapor return" I cannot use this line if I am going over to electric. My question is what does this line go to? Can I block this off or should I loop it into the fuel system somewhere else? I dont currently have the charcoal system......both of my canisters was shot.

My first thought with this third port was it was part of the fuel return? I have just never seen the fuel return or part of it return to the fuel pump before turning to the tank. After I went and just looked that is exsactly how it looks:rolleyes:

ok........Just like I thought it is a return line. A few months ago I had a problem with the gas coming out of the charcoal canister. Turns out my return line/canister and crap was hooked up wrong.. How you mess that up....is beyond me.
