I'm about to go through the Derale install process so wanted to dig up this thread.

When uninstalling the existing PS cooler/paper clip, did you all need to drain and remove the radiator? I'm having a hell of a time getting it out. I've already removed the battery and tray.

Second, did you drill out the locations to mount the derale unit? If so, just added a nut and washer onto the back of the bolt? I'm assuming I need to clean the hole with rust preventative..
The only two bolts that hold it on are on top of the front frame and a bolt that holds the lines on driver frame rail.

I'm about to do this process as well -- any additional tips?

When you are replacing the "paperclip" cooler with the Derale are you keeping the stock high pressure feed hose? 44411-60430 is the part number for the 93-97 high pressure feed hose I am referring to.

Just guessing--- but I think high pressure feed hose is between the PS pump and the steering gear, but the cooler is after the gear? So you would keep it?

I have always been a little confused by this.

I ended up buying an OEM PS cooler and replaced in-kind. Removing the radiator exposed those two bolts @Fj80oregon has pictured in this thread. It's a pain wriggling that mangled cooler line in the engine bay, but I was able to get it in. Also ended up replacing the radiator while I was in there anyway since I think it was original and I didn't have a clue when the last time the radiator was flushed.
