I had to replace the entire steering column in my HJ75. Using a late 80's model 62 series column. The yoke that attaches to the lower steering shaft is larger size than off the 75 series. Am I going out on a limb to find a 62 series shaft, cut it off and weld to the 75 shaft attached to the steering box?
Will I need an entire new wiring harness for all the connections in the column? I tried to find connectors at the local parts place and they all laughed.
Keep in mind, my ability as a mechanic is slightly below my fellow southerner in Ga. No offense intended, Charles.

I was afraid to ask but suspected you weren't in Dime Box, Texas.
Charles, when the crapola hits the fan, bring all the ammo you can load in that cruiser and head for Texas, got plenty room for you.

Thanks for the kind offer but all I have to do is run the Confederate flag back up the pole and I will be good to go.
Lack of armament is not an issue in Southern Georgia.
