Replacing intercooler barrel (1 Viewer)

Hi guys.

This is the state of my turbo, no idea how it got like this, maybe since I bought it or a mechanic did it, who knows.

I'm just wondering if I can replace the barrel with a generic one, same measurements of course, and will that be the end of it? Or do I have to re-tune it or something?

It's also got a bit of oil in there so I'll probably sort that out later.

Yeah it's just that they cost a bunch.

I'm gonna try heat and bend with oxy, then weld aluminium pipe that's just a bit bigger I'm diameter over it. As long as it seals well is my only concern
