My clutch is toast...
30,000 miles but I've given it a rough time!
My dealer has offered to install an upgraded heavy duty clutch under warranty...
I was wondering if any of you had suggestions on mfg/model?
2007 FJCruiser 6mt, 35'' tires, 3'' lift

i would go with dealer save the money for down the road but that being said if you want to duy one have you tried center force.

well, they know I haul cars and boats so...
It's not my 1st choice hauling truck, I have an 07 Tundra Crewmax w/5,7L, bu that one is ALWAYS out! My FJ gets to pull it's share so that's why I thought the HDuty clutch wasn't a bad idea?

that's good to see. I have been concerned about my clutch since I got my FJ. With the idle as high as it is and the high reverse gear, I have to slip it a lot or back up like I was a crazy teenager. Mine seems to be grabbing at the top of the pedal travel with only 13800 miles. It's not like I have never had a manual trans before. used to be a truck mechanic/driver. Is the clutch typically warranted?

Brakes pads are part of the powertrain also but not covered, a clutch is a wearable part like tires or wipers.

Man I'm nearing the big 30, this has me scared...I cant believe they are covering it since you have 35"s I know the whole "they have to prove it caused damage" but jeebus!

my guys will cover almost everything, but i would be afraid to ask for a clutch. if they are giving it to you under warranty, i'm with the above opinion...take it. its free now.

at least you gave me a little ball sack to ask now!
