Hi all, have a 99 LC and just completed a restoration by switching frames and replacing pretty much everything underneath. My question is I have it all back together and added 6 gallons today to try to fire it up. Not having luck so far (killed a battery) how long will it take to build pressure? I pulled the line off the fuel filter and there was fuel there. Haven’t checked pressure yet.

Fuel pump reset button?

Yeah I tried that.

The light is blinking, that may be it. Could it be as simple as a dead battery in the fob? I noticed the remote doors weren’t working.
Dead battery in the fob will not disable immobilizer.
There’s a coil that enables the key to work with a dead battery in the fob.
If light is blinking with the key inserted you have a imob system issue

Thanks man, now on to researching the fix

I assume that you checked all the fuses and fusible links?
Check for partial inserted connectors , corrosion at the junction box on the left driver lower kick panel.
Aftermarket leaking windshield insulation will allow water to seep in.
I’ve seen it many times

I have, I did not check the drivers side kick panel but it’s pouring right now so perfect timing when it stops.

Are the key and ecu from the same vehicle?

Dang, I was hoping it would be easy. If your security light is blinking either your ecu isn't getting proper power or the keys aren't matched. Have you checked the EFI fuse under the hood?

I did, I have been following a few threads. The immobilized light is flashing when I attempt to crank. Eci fuse isn’t burnt out. May try jumping at the relay to try to bypass immobilizer. Are there any other items that would trip the immobilizer?

You could have a bad antenna, or amplifier for the immo, but I have never seen either part go bad. I would try to bypass the fuse and put power straight to the relay.

Appreciate it, I checked for moisture after a hard rain and nothing. I’ve heard of the fuse box issue but I hadn’t had an issue before swapping the frame. I’m in the figure out the gremlins stage to get it back on the road
