I'm about to assemble a currently short block 2UZ as soon as I get the heads back. Engine supposedly has 139k miles. I was surprised the heads needed done but machine shop did a flow test and said they did. Had a bolt from the oil cooler snap in the oil pump so had to pull the pans and I have a new oil pump ready to go on.
Engine did not appear to have any oil leaks. I do have a new rear main seal and the o-ring that goes above it but I don't know if I should replace. I'm worried that I could cause a leak by replacing, but it would also really suck to get this engine back in the rig and find out that one of them are now leaking.
