Ok so Ive spent most of my last 2 weeks of life researching. I know the 2lt/te motor is a simple swap as for as direct bolt up. I was curious about the 1kz-te motor. Will I be able to retain my transmission? If maybe who/how can I obtain information about modifying my bellhousing to do so. Also, where the **** can I find em. I read Jarco is done-zo with imports. I just starting searching BC's craigslist, they got some 2l-tes which Im interested in. ALSO! the 2l-te motor; does any company makes mods for the motor, I cannot find a damn thing concerning upgrades. As far as the Turbo which are interchangable? Anyone done it? How is the motor after the 3L head is put on it? Still overheating problems. Has anyone intercooled the motor, what type of differences have you noticed. I have 4.88 gears already installed on my yota, I hate the 22re. No power what-so ever. I know there has to be a way to squeeze power out of the 2lt. I will have some time to tear it apart and potentially bore out the motor and modify a 3l head to flow more. Has anyone done this? I CANT BELIEVE no one has discussed this. The injectors... can you upgrade to a greater size? What is the ECU like, better/worst than a 22re?
