Thinking about removing the rear spoiler on our LC. Anyone else done this or know what is involved? I'm hoping it's just applied by tape.

I took a look at mine after I read this...looking at it, I don't think you want to pull it off. That being said, let us know how it goes if you do. I fear there is more than just tape. I'm sure it's secured on another way, and there is also electrical to deal with because of the brake light.

Looked into this more...

There are 4 screws at the top of the rear door. Then it is a matter of tape and 2 window clips. If you need pictures, please let me know.

Why would you want to do this? There are no other options right now available.

X2...The spoiler on the 200 looks fine to me..Now the one on late model 100s (basket handle style) definitely looks like doo doo but the one on the 200 is very discrete. Removing the thing sounds like a big hassle and pretty unnecessary. Leave it on, say I !!

So you guys just bought 60k+ rigs and are now in the process of removing everything, part after part! (Threads on 3rd row, side steps, and now rear spoiler). Who will remove the top and create the first bikini 200?:D

Damnnnn, what a fantastic idea !! I'm going to add THAT to my list when\if I get an '09 200... That would be so fresh !! :grinpimp: Like that cabrio P38 RR in SALEH's avatar.
