Hi,

I am trying to remove my Safari Snorkel to clean up a bit of rust that is comming through.

I am having trouble removing the air filter assembly - the big round thing that contains the air filter. I have removed two bolts from the sides but I am having trouble budging it.

Are there more than two bolts holding it on? Is there one underneath as well? Or do I need to apply more force? The coils is under there as well so this must be able to come out fairly easily for access but it is hard to get under there.

Regards,
David.

There is one underneath. On mine its easily accessed from inside the wheel cavity

Thanks Rosco,

That has saved me a lot of time. I was looking underneath but not for a bolt going horizontally back through the side panel. Really validates this site.

Got it all pulled off, cleaned up the rust with the angle grinder / flap disk, gave it a few coats of paint and it is all back together now.

Regards,
David.
